Chem 132 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: Not Mandatory Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: N/A

Extremely dull, doesn't care at all how you are doing. Tests all multiple choice, and way harder than her practice problems. Class averages were low, the TAs teach you everything

CHE 132 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: N/A

Took this in the summer. The test averages were 65(expected with the first test), 47, 54, and 48. If you can manage to get half the test right you get a C+. Typical Stony Brook course; no help with understanding material, more like here it is, go learn it. If it's too much, "youre the one that signed up for the class" according to Oatis

CHE 131 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: N/A

Took her for both summer session 1 & 2. CHE 131 & 132. I had no other choice. She is not the most helpful professor. I mean im not the type to stop by during office hours but during lecture she would always end early. She couldve been more considerate into asking us if we needed more of anything. TA's teach everything! she is VERY tricky. very hard

Che132 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

Tests are harder than examples in class. All multiple choice, very tricky. Go to class and do the practice exams. The lecture slides dont really help, nor does the textbook, just listen to her explanations. The TA's teach most of it.

CHEM 132 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

She is a really helpful professor who is great at explaining the material. She really is a good teacher. This class is hard as is ALL gen chem classes at ALL colleges. Those who are premed, you will be prepared for the MCAT chemistry section after taking her class.

CHE 131 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

She is very dull. She always makes exams way harder than they need to be. The TAs pretty much teach the students everything. Also, not only only is she a poor teacher, she's also not very nice of a person. I heard that she made a student cry right before the final. The curve is the only way people pass in this course! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

I worked sooo hard, did everything what is required, I even forget to register with gpnc because I was so focused on studyng for chem. Got only B-. Class average was about 56. Don't be fooled with first midterm, it is the easiest one. Exam is much harder than homework. Prof is dull. She just read lecture but she don't try to teach you to pass exam

Don't be afraid to question her. Test answers and explanations are often wrong. Study the book if you really want to know the material. Her lectures are elementary overviews.

Professor Oatis was great. Honestly she made everything clear and if you had a question she would gladly answer it. Her choice of TA's were great except for one. Besides that, the tests were a bit harder than they needed to be. However if you put in the work you will get a good grade. Will gladly take her for another class!!
