AWSOME TEACHER! Where to start, she makes the class interesting (although it was pretty long), she answers questions, shes through informative, tests are easy and she gives an extra credit worth one whole test. Plus she even made more extra credit, and shes generous on grading. I got a 75 and she made it a B, real nice. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Professor Cosgrove is a wonderful educator and extremely knowledgeable in art history. In my opinion she could be teaching at UCLA, Columbia or Harvard, very intelligent and articulate. Prof.Cosgrove does not tolerate impolite or disinterested students,which makes learning better&more enjoyable for students interested in learning;kind&senseofhumor

looks and talks like ellen degenerous lol. she's funny, but very sarcastic and weird at times. u NEED the book (i think) i went to every class listened to the lectures and took notes, but the tests are hard!!

awesome teacher one of my favorites at west she is very easy but you do have to take notes and be generally informed on the subject just take notes read the material in the book and you'll get an A. She seems very open minded and is a very kind person she helps you and keeps you entertained with the material.

Professor Cosgrove was amazing.Her class was always fun and interesting and she was never rude to anyone.Her tests were easy if you took good notes and had the book required.If you're planning on taking Art 101 with her,you'll have a great time.She is very helpful,understanding,and answers everyone questions.

ms cosgrove is great!! highly recomended.. pay attention in class, take good notes, and you should be fine when it comes to the exam if you study your notes. She is an awesome teacher with a great sense of humor. history could not have been more interesting with anyone else

A brilliant woman with a real flair for teaching. Very approachable, but doesn't suffer fools easily. Class was always fun and an adventure. I hope WLAC realizes what a gem they have in this person!

Class that l looked forward to nearly every day. Gained some great insight into dissecting art. Great communicator who clearly lays out her expectations for the class, as well as assisting with a students needs/questions. No surprises on the tests. Also a great view into contemporary art and how art has evolved on the whole. Highly recom

Great class, great Teacher. She a good lecturer and tests on her lectures and the paintings that she shows. She tends to be slightly sarcastic, but means no harm(she's an Artist!)and she's very talented(check out her works). You will know Art when you leave her class and you'll be proud of yourself when you're able to recognized works in public.

Okay, lastly, she is clear and percise. She teaches with video, slides, and little of the book. Take good notes, because tests are on lectures only. :)

Continuation of last 2. Studying is a must. She gives EC sometimes, but don't depend on it. Good luck, and enjoy! Fun, yet challenging! What do you expect from a college course? It's not supposed to be like high school.

If you ask she will help you, whether it's a question or how to study, or a problem that will affect you in the class. She is nice, does not put you down. Her sarcasm is not meant to be cruel. She is liberal, if you can't deal with her opinions, you are warned, so don't complain. Loved her class, taking Art 103, wished she taught 102 this Spring.

Amaing teacher. She is enthusiastic about the subject, and makes it enjoyable in information, opinions, and jokes. She includes the class in the lecture. She gives multiple choice tests with 2 to 3 slides to analyze per test. It is a lot of memorization, but it's worth it! She includes factors that influenced art in the period. Rare use of book.

Awesome professor, makes class very interesting, I loved Art 101 so much that I took 102 AND 103. If you pay attention you can easily get an A. Loved the fact that she didn't use the textbook very often because anyone can open up a book and read it. I never even knew I was interested in Art History until I took her class. 100% recomend her class!!

Cool lady, cool class. She's friendly, open, non-judgmental, enjoys the subject, explains well, encourages questions and answers them, and makes learning fun. Tests are based almost entirely on lecture notes. It’s an easy passing grade if you want to do the minimum, but also a good class if you’re interested in the subject and want to learn.

Terrible! no joke. I had a personal bad experience but that doesn't mean she won't do the same to another student. She is not communicative yet lax. Just do the work; typically 3 tests, no homework and usually no research paper, etc. she does NOT make the subject interesting by far and ironically considering she is an artist herself!
