DONT BUY THE BOOK, you wont use it. He is a nice enthusiastic teacher, but he talks fast, and his notes are hard to get down. He will try to help you bring up your grade: for our class we signed a contract that let us drop our lowest text score, as well as let us all retake one of our exams in the beginning cuz we all failed :) He isn't too bad!

aalbers is a nice guy, but watch out for those eyebrows. crazyeyes for sure. he talks real fast, and tries to make jokes, but most of the time he fails miserably. does his best to help you pull up your grade and re-explains things if you ask him to. crazy eyes. nice guy, though.

yes it is hard but all intros are he is good! you have to study and the test are focused on spasific people and ways of thinking not dates great way!!!

You can drop your lowest score if you sign a contract and there are extra credit opportunities. SAVE YOUR MONEY-DON'T BUY THE BOOK!!! All test material comes from lectures... he'll say initially that 30% comes from the reading-not true.. if he doesn't lecture it, he doesn't count it on the test. He also gives pletnty of examples. TAKE HIM!

He is very strange but very nice. Everything is based off of his notes. SO TAKE AMAZING NOTES. Exams are what make up your entire grade. Attendance isn't mandatory but for our class he made a contract saying if you came every class he dropped your lowest test score! We also had a make-up for one exam as well. Bring your laptops if you get bored.

He's a great teacher. He gives good examples, and makes all the material really easy to understand. I would definitely take another class from him, he's one of the best professors i had this term.

aalbers isnt to hard you dont have to class or use your book at all, he does use good examples. draw backs are he sometimes rants and makes no sense, but i would take him again

He was an excellent professor. The book didn't really matter cuz all test material came straight from notes. Tells stupid jokes all the time, but for some reason I still laugh

Very good prof. Very easy class, attendance not mandatory, but if you want an A go to class. He makes everything very clear, and I never had to read the book at all. I would definately recommend him. By the way, he gives you an option to drop your lowest test score if you go to class everyday, definately a good idea. Again Good prof.

BEST PROFESSOR AT CMU!!!! He knows his stuff, he makes it all interesting, kinda goofy, and VERY easy to talk to and get help from. All you had to do for class was take notes, study a little, then take the easy tests! YOU CAN'T GET A BETTER PROFESSOR!!!!

Very interesting class. Only 5 tests make up the grade, but they're easy if you study. Book is pointless to buy. Notes are a must because grade is based off of them but if you just study the notes you'll do fine. His test is word for word from the notes.

Very cool guy. He's a little goofy but overall is very nice. Never uses book, no use to buy it. Gives 10 min. break on hour long classes. Lectures are interesting. Tests are a little tricky but not very hard. Take him!

Dan is an AMAZING prof. Definately crazy... you will learn to love that mason jar he drinks from :)He is very helpful and a nice guy. Also liked how he reviews the notes from the previous class. Attendance is NOT manditory!

Dan is an amazing professor. He is extremely willing to help students outside of class and his lectures are really interesting. He also throws in tons of awful jokes that start to grow on you after a while. I would definitely take him again!

Good teacher. Just make sure that you understand the concepts and you will do fine. Had no idea about anything in psych before and got an A.
