Meteo431 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

Dr. Verlinde is, without a doubt, one of the nicest, most helpful, and wisest professors in the department. His exams and quizzes are very reasonable, homework sometimes challenging. He really cares about the students and goes above and beyond to help you understand concepts. He gives the class a large curve (between a 75-80% is typically an A).

Meteo431 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: You need it sometimes Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

Dr. Verlinde is a nice guy, but his exams are very, very difficult. Average on the first test for instance was only a 50% and he does not curve. He is very helpful at office hours and is always willing to help students whenever they need it. He could write a little neater on the board. He's a good teacher, but a hard test-maker and hard grader.

Meteo437 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: You need it sometimes Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

Dr. Verlinde is a very helpful professor who is always willing to answer any question. He has a weekly quiz that tests to see how well the students did on the homework. Once you get used to his teaching style, the class can become easy.

METEO437 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

Dr. Verlinde is my favorite teacher in the meteorology department. He doesn't baby people along and if don't know the material you will fail, WHAT A CONCEPT! All it takes to do well is a little effort and intelligence. Don't shy away from his courses because they are worth it. He is a real nice guy. Some professors should take notes from him.

By no means the easiest teacher you'll ever have, but don't be intimidated. Difficult if you don't stay with lecture material. Homework problems often beyond the material presented in class. Office hours and exam reviews very helpful. Always willing to help students learn. ALWAYS go to class as a lot of topics are covered. Study hard for the exams.
