This professor is easy. Show up to class and go to the productions if you want an easy A. There is like 5 books you need but I didn't get them, i read the summary on sparknotes and passed the reading quiz with an A. He is a very cool and nice teacher! Take him!

One of the easiest online classes I have taken. The quizzes and test are very straight forward if you keep track of all the main points (just wrote down bold titles/definitions). Anyone who complains about the amount of reading/work is just lazy (this is college). Followed guideline for paper and turned out perfect. BUY TEXTBOOK cause you need it!

Not a huge theater person (I like to watch but never really knew much about it) but Dr. Morong made me love it! The class was so interesting, attending plays for class and extra credit was so fun, and the tests were easy if you came to class and took notes! Would definitely recommend this professor!

I took this class online, and I must say even if you don't have an interest in theater you have to be dedicated to this class if you want an A. He is a straightforward professor, if you do your work and follow directions everything will be good. You get 15-20 minutes for online tests, and 5 minutes for online quizzes. Don't slack off.

I was very eager to take this course! I am senior this fall semester so I have seen horrible teachers and excellent teachers. Never in my 3 years have I had a professor this arrogant. Students who did not struggle, I am assuming had previous knowledge. I have been on the dean's list & I work hard! 1st (AND ONLY) BAD GRADE MY ENTIRE COLLEGE CAREER!

Very thought provoking class. Not hard if you do read and take down important notes. First test is pretty hard but then you get used to it. Mr. Morong does his job and is fair in grading. He actually cares about his students and wants them to get something out of this class.

Summer online class is TEDIOUS, don't take it if u have another hard class. Unbearable & exaggerated amount of reading, I was reading around a total of 70 pages weekly (textbook and PDFs reading). However, quizzes & tests are not very hard if u read carefully & summarize & review the MAIN points. Not an easy A at all, so find an easier LBST 110X.

Hes pretty laid back, purchase the plays and attend productions on campus and off campus if you want an A, he gives many extra credit opportunities. And you actually have to study a little for the exams its not too intense but its not an easy A class. More of an easy B class , if thats what your going for. I got an A..

Took Jay for Theatre...anyone who didnt like Jay was either an immature freshman who couldnt put up with someone who isnt going to put up with their nonsense, or, is lazy. Great professor, easy class.

I completely underestimated this class. Overall the class isn't that bad. Its pretty boring. No textbook. He offers A LOT of extra credit. I got Ds on the first two test cause I didn't study. Got a B on the 3rd test. A on the Final, did 1 extra credit assignment and Got a A in the class. So If you work hard you can get a A..

Not a bad class. EXTREMELY strict on attendance (and leaving late/early) so if you think you'll be late, leave early, or miss class more than 2 times all semester, STAY AWAY from this class. If not, you'll probably do great. He's opinionated, and he makes you read plays (long&boring) that you have quizzes on, but he does give extra credit!! No book

Jay is awesome. If you aren't a whiney scrub and actually do what you are supposed to, there is no way you won't get an A.

Great Professor! He lets you know exactly what to expect and what he expects. Attendance is mandatory. His lectures are a bit boring. This class can be an easy "A"- however you will have to actually pay attention, take notes, read the plays. He gives the easiest extra credit opportunities.

Jay is awesome! Pretty harsh the first couple of classes but that is because he lays down his rules and as long as you follow them you will make it through the semester with no problem and he is pretty easy to get along with!

I love theatre and I have for years. I've never had a problem with a theatre teacher before, but I absolutely despise this man. He's arrogant, rude, and obnoxious. He gives you 4 minutes to take a 5 question quiz, fill in the blank, no they're not easy. I don't recommend this class AT ALL! Worst decision I ever made.

I'm a freshman and I will admit, at first he scared me, but deep down, he's really nice?funny too. GO TO CLASS! The tests are all based on his lectures. READ THE BOOKS! Those book quizzes will kill your grade if you don't. DO EXTRA CREDIT! It's super easy, why wouldn't you do it. Overall, boring but relatively easy if you pay attention.

if you are an obnoxious freshman, then yes, you will hate him. He does have a some ground rules (just basic stuff) that he expects from you, and I found that alot of the freshmans have issues with that. But hes actually really nice and a great professor. Just dont be late to class, because he WILL not hesitate to embarrass you.

Like others have said: don't be late and don't skip class. In the beginning of the semester, I thought I was going to hate this guy, but he ended up being one of my favorite professors at this school. He's really understanding and has a pretty wonderful sense of humor. You'll learn SO much about theatre. Oh, and he's super hot. Just saying.

Amazing! You talk about a teacher who knows his stuff. Talks a mile a minute which can be frustrating but has a LOT to say! This is a theater class and talks to you a lot about film, tv, music and just about everything else pop culture so you understand what he is talkin bout. I would take him for another class. Very helpful. Great!
