5/13/09 JPN202 4 4 4 4 emoticon smiley flag envelope So funny and adorable. She will help you build on the basics that you already know. I wish I could take her again but she doesn't teach higher levels. Every lesson you get great hand out that you refer to the whole lesson.
8/22/08 JPN102 3 4 4 4 emoticon smiley flag   sensei is a really good teacher. her english is pretty good and she's always willing to help you and easy to talk to if you have questions. Most of her lessons are from printouts that she makes, and the book is only used as a reference. she's pretty easy on grading both written and orals. i'd take another class from her =D
8/17/08 jpn102 2 3 4 4 emoticon smiley flag   madsen sensei is nice, funny, and helpful to a certain point. she wasn't always clear and concise with the subject matter which made it more confusing at times. she does review right before the quiz/test a little, and doing the homework is a must! i never expected jpn 102 to be so difficult! it could be i took it during the summer, that's why.
2/7/08 JPN202 5 5 5 5 emoticon smiley flag   Madsen is funny, kind, and an excellent teacher. Her English is almost flawless [trust me, I'm an English major], and her accent is minimal. Her class is engaging, so you'll learn a lot - if you put in the effort, you'll get a good grade.
11/22/07 JPN101 2 1 2 3 emoticon_unhappy flag   She's nice and says really funny things, unfortunately they're funny because of her lack of English speaking skills. The class is confusing, due to lack of explanation, and some forced participation.
