He is a terrible teacher. I didn't learn a thing from his class. The tests are problems from the book and he gives you the formulas in order! I never studied, not even for the final and I got an A-. All you have to do is read the text book. I went to class everyday, only for the participation points, but I often used the wrong clicker.

He was a terrible teacher. Lectures were not helpful at all. On the first day he told us that he "learned and forgot everything in the class 50 years ago." To learn in this class, you have to read the book and work problems. I did not gain anything from his lectures.

PHYS104 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

The professor uses the lectures he wrote 10 years ago because he's too lazy to re-write them. As such, he doesn't use the textbook mandated by the department (that we have to buy) but, rather, uses a different one (from which he wrote his lectures).

okay going ot class is pointless as you can read the book..but he claims that from attendance he might change your grade if you are borderline...for the tests do the problems he assigns and memorize the chapter summaries cause there will be eqautions you have to know for the conceptual part and weird diagrams you have to draw for the conceptual que

I agree that class is a waste of time. Spend your time reading the book. He often goes on tangents that have nothing to do with the subject at hand. Tests also commonly have errors in them. Pick someone else if you have the option!

If you have him, live by the book. Class is a waste of time. His free response questions are essays, not problems. I've never HAD to read a science book before, but it's the only way to get by in his class.

Way too easy, and not good at teaching clearly and thoroughly. Doesn't challenge at all...His tests are the practice problems at the end of the chapter and webassign. He wasn't clear in his grading. If you want to breeze through physics then this is great (except you have to learn it on your own), but if you need to learn physics, find someone else
