prof schoenbohm is very passionate about her ancient asian texts - she expects you to work hard when you write your essays. take detailed notes in class about her explanations of certain topics. the revision process is kind of a pain, but your grade will be helped a ton by spending the hour or two that it takes to revise. good prof overall. take.

She is extremely passionate about what she teaches, but at times comes into discussions with the thought that everyone understands everything exactly as she does. It is difficult to disagree with her on any point because her interpretations of the texts are pretty set in stone. LOTS of writing too.

Class can be interesting, and the professor is amazingly knowledgable and passionate about what she does. However, this is the hardest freshman writing seminar at Vanderbilt considering we have to write approximately 28 papers and only 3 or so of them are actually given a grade. But, if you're interested in philosophy, this is an amazing class!!
