The best psychology teacher at FGCU by far! I wish that they offered more classes with him because I would definitely take them. The class can be intense at times and it does take a lot of work, but as long as you read the book and take plenty of notes during his lectures you will be fine. If you need extra help make sure you go to his office hours

I graduated from FGCU with my BA in psych and by far Dr. Tarnowski was my favorite professor. Yes, he is intimidating because he expects a lot out of his students, but if you take every available class with him, I promise you that you will learn and succeed in your major. Hands down, my all time favorite professor!

AbPsych; super awesome teacher, super hard. Very knowledgeable and isn't rude like everyone says. He's right, as crappy as that sounds. Read, read, read, read, read!! Know ALL Dx criteria for DSM, make sure you do the work and he'll reward you. BUT... don't try to high five him out of excitement. ><;

I had Dr. Tarnowski for Abnormal Psychology during the summer semester of 2010 and I have to say that he is one of the most knowledgable and funniest psychology teachers I ever had. Be warned, however, that you absolutely need to read the assigned readings in the textbook in order to pass the exams, even though they are not too difficult.

Dr. Tarnowski was by far the best professor I've had at FGCU! Attendance is a must in order to do well on the exam but classes are so interesting you will want to go. Extremely knowledgeable on all aspects of Psychology. I had him for Clinical Psych and Health Pysch and would take him again if he taught another class. Must-take for psych majors!

had him for abnormal psychology....hands down one of the best teachers at fgcu! he is very intelligent, his stories are interesting, and he is funny. yes he can be intimidating but you will learn sooo much. Make sure u go to every class..take notes...and read read read. as long as u study a lot for the tests they were actually pretty moderate.

Dr. Tarnowski is intelligent, funny, and helpful. Can be arrogant and intimidating, however. All his classes are interesting and you learn a lot. Have to study, no kidding there. Try to impress him early if you want his help (e.g. reference letters).

Although the subject can be a little challenging, Dr. Tarnowski does his best to make the information clear. For his exams be sure you study the notes from class as well as read the book. He is a wonderful professor that challenges you to strive.

Tarnowski is awesome! In his lectures it seems that he is talking down to you, but it's just that he really knows what he's talking about. One on one he will answer any questions you have for him. But beware that he takes NO excuses. You can't retake anything no matter what happened to you and he doesn't want to hear about your personal life.
