Minear is AWESOME. I want her to be my advisor. She welcomes other viewpoints, she's a good teacher, she's constructive. She helps you see things from a different perspective. Her class was so interesting. Take her!!!!! You won't regret it!!
Had her for Brit Lit 1. I really enjoyed her comments and the subject matter, but, for me, the TR class was just too long to pay attention for. She's a really fair grader and is very, very nice.
Children's Fantasy Lit, this class was my favorite class so far in college. Minear is amazing. Who knew there was so much depth to the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe! (And no, not just that Aslan is a christ figure). I shudder at most 8am classes, but this was definitely worth it. Take advantage of the rewrites she offers, you'll be glad you did.
Don't be fooled by her unassuming presence in the classroom; professor Minear is a fantastic scholar and an incisive editor. Absolutely listen to what she has to say (and go to office hours!). She looks at literature on the next level.
