She cannot effectively answer any question you ask her. Very bad at being challenged and thinking on her feat. Nice woman, but not a good teacher. Math is her comfort zone and she wastes time deriving equations. Things that would be best qualitative become quantitative so she can teach them. Had her twice, frustratin

ECON350 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: Mandatory Textbook Use: You need it sometimes Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

She explains concepts very well and, with her witty remarks here and there, knows how to make the class interesting. She's friendly and very willing to help. I agree with other raters that her tests aren't hard but a little tricky and that projects can be time-consuming.

ECON100 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: N/A

She is fairly organized. She is nice and helpful outside class too. The only thing is sometimes it gets boring when she lets people graph for the entire class time and the test is always harder than you expected.

She explains the material well and is able to keep the students' attention throughout class duration. She's very willing to help (she even actively offers you help). It's true that her tests might sometimes be tricky but not too hard. Very light workload but projects can be very time-consuming and tedious.

very helpful professor. her tests might at times be tricky, but if you know the material well enough, an A is not only doable, but pretty easy.

Prof. Goma's statistics was the most challenging course I have taken at DePauw. If you get an A in her class, hats off to you because you must be truly smart. She is different from professors who just ask the oblivious questions in exams. She makes you think and it is like decoding a puzzle or algorithm.

Her class seems relatively easy until the first exam. The exams are nothing like the practice questions. They are at least 10 times harder. I studied a lot for each test and still received relatively low grades (for my standards). This class is tough, and is mandatory. Good Luck!!

She's an excellent instructor with great organization and clarity. Her tests are challenging, yet fair, and she uses different sorts of assignments to help us learn. I look forward to having another class with her.

She creates two sections in the class. People who understand her, people who dont. She goes along at a very fast pace and the gap between the two sections widen everyday. Do not buy the textbook. Everything is covered in her powerpoints. If you dont take any notes you wont have a snowballs chance in hell at passing

This teacher is good for truly intelligent students. She's difficult and challenging but requires you to do more than just sit there and vegetate. She really wants you to think.

I thought professor Goma was horrible. I'm not sure if it was just me, but I know that several others in my class disliked her also. She is a genuinely nice person but not a good professor. She is too intelligent to be teaching intro. The book was not helpful, tests were hard and the final was IMPOSSIBLE. Avoid this course for intro. Find another Q
