Took research methods with her. She is VERY helpful when it comes to making your research proposal. She tells you everything that is going to be on the exams. She doesn't try to trick you. Has a make-up exam at the end if you missed one. I don't like her style of teaching she FLYS through the notes, so you basically have to learn it on your own.

Take her for methods! Extremely helpful! 4 exams, drops lowest if you attend regularly, each exam worth 100 pts, field note worth 100 pts., participation 100 pts., article critique 100 pts., proposal worth 300 pts. 900 total pts if test is dropped, 1000 if not. Show her some effort and she will notice.

This class was so easy, she told us the questions word for word that would be on the tests (3 tests, 1 paper). She's really nice... I would take her again definately.

She never used the books and her slides went so fast, but her study guides she posts are EXACTLY what is on the exam so if you study those you'll get an A! The paper was so easy! she asks for rough drafts so by the end of the class your paper is A or B quality. def take her i was nervous for RM at first, but she was so easy and made it so easy!

Yes she's nice and funny, but she's not a great professor. Her power points and study guides are unclear and disorganized and I feel like I've gotten NO direction on my paper and what I'm supposed to do. She pretty much just gives you a sample paper and tells you the due dates. Definitely utilize your PAL or else you'll be lost.

This was my second class with her - and still one of my favorites at BSC. The material is actually interesting so you'll want to go to class. There are 4 exams which are really easy if you use the study guide, you participate in a panel discussion, and do a short report on a book. Oh yeah, you get a field trip to Bridgewater Prison. Def. take her!

Prof. Hayden is awesome! She is very nice and laid back, extremely down to earth. You can tell she loves what she teaches! Everything you need for exams are directly given to you from her notes/study guides she creates. As long as you look at those, you're good! One paper and a group presentation/panel discussion. Overall a very interesting class!

Probably the best teacher for methods at BSC. The 4 tests are wicked easy - all definitions straight off her study guide. You'll have to work hard on the proposal but she helps you every step of the way if you need it. There are couple of presenations (an article and your final proposal) and a field research paper and thats it. Highly recommended

I took her for psych of criminal behavior. SO EASY! dont buy the book because she uses her own notes and all the study guide ?s she gives u are in her lecture notes. 4 exams but she only made us take 3 and she drops lowest. Also, there is a trip to the prison at the end of the semester, which i have not gone yet. and one paper 3 pages.

Don't buy book,Prof. uses own notes/studyguide on blackboard for exams. Must go to class to get lowest exam dropped,but useless as the material is not taught. Must find material in prof. notes for study guide and cram alot of difficult def. Did well on first exam but wish I never took this prof. Like to learn as I go along. Prof. is overrated.

I took Prof Hayden this semester for research methods (which i was dreading) but it turned out awesome. 4 tests/1 study- she helps out with everything to make it easier. No stats. and she is hilarious. Take her.

One of the best teachers Ive ever had. She has you do one 10 page paper that is broken down into 3 or 4 sections. 4 tests. She is so nice and although the paper is difficult she helps you every step of the way!!

Take her for Research Methods. I wasn't looking forward to this class @ all and she ended up being one of my favorite professor's I've taken @ BSC. Extremely clear on research paper, study guides are exactly what is on the tests. Makes the class interesting. Very laid back and down to earth.

Best for research methods.Splits the class time into half lecture/half group work so you don't get bored. 4 tests (hands out study guides with all the answers prior) and no final. You have to do a 10 page research proposal but she helps you through every section step by step. Always available for extra help and listens to her students suggestions.

Prof. Hayden makes class fun. She said right from the beginning, NO STATS! It was great to take a research meth. class and not have to worry about that. The tests are really easy (4, 50 ques tests) and then a research proposal. She's really helpful and wants everyone to do well. I highly recommend her!

AWESOME! Best Prof for Research Methods. Very clear about what you need to know. 4 exams she prepares you for (drops lowest/att.) A Research Proposal/pres.(mock study)guides you through all stages. Responds quickly to e-mail (q's). Great personality & extremely helpful! I DREADED taking this class after stats, but Prof. Hayden taught me to enjoy it

very easy multiple choice questions on tests. used the book a lot and sometimes lectures were boring because it was only going over the chapter. but still interesting stuff and if you don't mind doing the reading you're all set. the book is easy and straight forward. pretty good class overall.
