funny guy with a high enthusiasm for journalism. however, his lectures have very little to do with what ends up on the tests. read the book and you will be fine. gives random attendence quizzes so show up everyday cause missing one will hurt you.
The BEST. Roberts is maybe my all-time fav. professor from college. So smart, so NICE, and 100% on top of his game. An amazing teacher. USC lost a great one.
Dr. Roberts may be one of the worst teachers at USC. At first he seems like a great teacher with an awesome personality and sense of humor; however, after the first test I thought otherwise. The tests had nothing to do with the lectures. I had to reteach myself everything. When I emailed him and asked for help. He replied study. read. So helpful!
Honestly one of the best teachers I have ever had! He makes you want to go to class ever day- which is good since he takes attendance! Read the book and take notes on what you read- best way to pass the tests! Do the extra credit when offered. Easy to get an A if you work hard and keep up with the reading! DEFINITELY TAKE HIM!
One of the best teachers you will have both in the J-School and at USC overall. His class is extremely entertaining and interesting. However, reading the text is a MUST, as his lectures don't touch on half of the assigned reading material. Very hard, but you'll make an A if you try. Highly recommended!
