Best professor I've had. Had him for 2 classes. Relevant, fun, and interesting. Thinks of his students as equals- classes are interactive. Highly recommend.

I really recommend his class. The class is very interesting and watch a lot of video. The attendance is not mandatory but he checked randomly. Participation points are really high. You should write the article on the blog in every week.

He's a great professor that knows what he's talking about. He has great knowledge about what he's teaching which makes it so much more easier to comprehend. He's makes the class very interactive which makes it more pleasurable to come to class. If you get the chance, take him. You'll learn alot.

Derek is the most interesting professor I've had at UB. The classes covered fascinating topics that I hadn't thought about before. He is very friendly and approachable, and really cares about students. His class isn't that hard if you go to class, but there is a lot of readings and writing (on a blog). Take his class when you can.

GREAT teacher, kept class really interesting and I wanted to go to it at 9am. Made sure you knew what would be on the test, responds to email quickly, and tests were combination of multiple choice and short answer with a couple short essays- NOT BAD AT ALL cause you could guess what the "essays" would be on.

Awesome teacher, fun class, blogs make it interesting and interactive. Definitely would recomend as a COM class to take.
