He is very enthusiastic about what he teaches. Sometimes you're enjoying class so much that u forget u are actually in class. Too bad he moved to NYU. With his teaching stature, go figure.

Best professor. Sadly, he is off on the east coast with his husband. If you took his class, you know how amazing he is. If you didn't, then your loss.

every guy should have taken a class w/ gumby, he'll open your eyes. he keeps things fun and interesting. no need to take notes just pay attention. tests were on readings. one of the only classes where i still remember things the prof talked about.

Eric was a guest speaker for my Soc69 class this quarter. Great person, fun, outgoing, extremely energetic. He connected with the students so well and made everything incredibly interesting. You get to see things from a different perspective. I wish he still taught at UCI.

He's as good as O'Connell but in different subjects under soc. Too bad he's gone, you would never want to miss his lectures. The TAs who made the exams when I took this class sucked; they made it quite specific. The lecture is fun, the reading is decent, the work is average. Take it for the prof!

Awesome professor. People have a hard time when they agree against him because he's trying to challenge you. If you can get passed the "on purpose" bias that he puts in his lecture than you might realize that all your life you've been given the other bias history of gender inequality, racism etc,.

Professor Anderson made learning fun. Too bad he left UCI. He will be missed. Anyway, make sure you stay updated on "Coach Gumby" by watching The Real Gilligan's Island on TBS. He is auditioning for the part of "The Professor" He is up against some other professor from USD. GO GUMBY!!!!

Prof. Anderson or "Gumby" is one of THE BEST lecturers I had during my 4 years at UCI. He is passionate & focused about advocating for equality. His intellectual arguments are backed by evidence and logic. His unique teaching style makes students critically think about the society.

He is a very charismatic and interesting instructor. I really like how he is passionate about what he does. Sure, he's a little biased, but that is not a valid reason to consider Gumby a bad lecturer.

Gumby is great...people need to realize that they can't take what he says at a personal level. His only intentions are to make you think outside your comfort zone. Amazing lecturer, with an unmatched level of care for his students. Thanks gumby!

Anderson is a horrible professor. He only talks about how much people hate gays.If you disagree with his views, he calls you a homophobic.Not open minded to students opinion. He'll call me a homophobic.I don't hate gays, my two best friends are gay.
