THEO 2410 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: Mandatory Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

Professor Maguire's class was really interesting and included a lot of his liberal and left-leaning ideas that were completely new to me but were explained well. There's only one test, final and a paper! Maguire was awesome if you like new and liberal ideas. This isn't even a theology class and was more of a morals and ethics class. Take it!

Theo-2410 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: N/A

This guy is amazing! He talks the whole time but is funny. His teachings ultimately are about compassion and solidarity to all our fellow human beings. You learn much more than about religion. The material is not hard, just do the readings and pay attention. Love this guy!

THEO2410 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: N/A

Dr. Maguire is pretty left-leaning, and I'm not really sure what Theology was taught in his class. This wasn't necessarily a bad thing though, since he is really funny and gives all of his exam questions beforehand. A pretty entertaining and interesting class, all-in-all.

THEO3000 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Barely cracked it open Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

He has his views, but he's open for debate. His lectures are thought-provoking and at times funny. Exam questions are given at the beginning of the semester, paper is pass or fail. Not hard but you do need to show your thinking in essays, he can spot bs. One of the MU courses I've enjoyed the most.

Theo2032 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: Meh Grade Received: N/A

Maguire does make the class a little politically charged, but if you're not all about theology and just need the credit then this is surely a good thing. He has extreme views, but he's brilliant, articulate, and pretty funny. Plus, the class isn't too hard, just a lot of lectures and then writing for the tests.

THEO179 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: You need it sometimes Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

Maguire is a theologian and therefore he is qualified to teach theology. Unfortunately, religion takes a backseat to his socialist ranting which-I must admit-can be entertaining. As the semester progresses it becomes clear that Maguire is a little too pleased with himself. This becomes sickly when he lampoons Mother Teresa and the Catholic Church.

Basically spends class telling stories to illustrate his points, usually pretty funny. Sometimes repeats stories he's already told, but he's old so I guess that's expected. Three short essay exams, and he gives you the questions before.

Nice guy, smart but has some extreme views, he does not push his views on you and does welcome disagreement, gives you exam questions in advance so only homework is reading and formulating answers for questions, no daily homework
