He is an excellent professor. We had so much work, but at the same time, we learned a lot! The chemotaxis project was really interesting! His lectures and labs are pretty clear. He is always willing to help you. It is good to have a studying group since the first test. Read the book, make all assignments, watch online videos, and you will get an A.

Professor Trackey is incredibly smart and is very passionate about biology. I enjoyed his lectures immensely, however he was not helpful at all when it came to the group projects or narrowing down the study material for exams. His favorite response is "know everything", a bit more guidance is needed. Cool guy/didn't take bio to meet cool people!

His class was very daunting for me at first, but it was just a matter of acclimating to the workload. Once you get into the groove of things, his class gets very productive and fun. My advice, form a study group on DAY ONE. It'll help you out tremendously in the long run. He's the most inspirational professor that I had at Lone Star. Genuine guy.

This was probably the most challenging class I had at Lone Star but I LOVED IT! No, his class isn't easy! You have to study A LOT! Make sure you take notes and read the book! He may come off as serious/intimidating but he is actually really nice and easy going outside of class! I would recommend him for people who enjoy learning!

I agree not good for 1407. I looked like he was teaching it for the first time and most of the material was new to him!

I took 1407 with him. I heard he was good for 1406. Not so for 1407. Looks like he was teaching it for the first time and didn't know what to expect. I used the textbook a lot and that helped.

He's very motivated about Biology and you can tell that he loves his Job. Coming into this class don't expect it to be easy. His class is very hard and there is nothing wrong with that. If you find yourself struggling "GO" talk to him and he will help you. The Textbook is your best friend, READ IT!!! Be prepared to WORK HARD

Best professor I have ever had, wish I would have stayed there to retake it but I had to move back to Austin. Didn't do well in the class, but that was my own fault. He's very clear on what's expected of you and will help you when you need it. He actually got me interested in the material, his sense of humor helps.

The syllabus is exactly what you are going to be studying, you need to know pretty much everything he lectures about and you will have to read the book or at least fully know all of the terms in the chapters being tested over. This class is difficult but highly possible to make an A in.

He will make you do the chemotaxis project; the project can either make or break your grade, and it depends on how well your group can ACTUALLY cooperate. Also, his exams don't ask you questions that are super detailed so I fail to see why it is hard for many others, but personally that is just me.

Great teacher! Puts the subject in a way students understand and very helpful. You do have to study though because in the end it's a college class

Pretty good teacher, very relaxed guy that will answer any question you might have. He can be a little confusing at times and sometimes purposely holds back info especially for the chemo taxis project. You will have no idea what to do, just schedule a meeting with him and be ready to spend some time figuring out the project. It was the hardest part

Disregard all negative comments. He is an amazing teacher. If you do your part, you will do well. He answered all questions clearly and would simplify different topics. He tried to relate biology to every day life. Throws in jokes every now and again. He's down to earth. I felt I could approach him with any question

He was hard, yes but a good guy to take. He'll be real with you and help you if YOU ASK. Lastly, appendix 7 will save your life towards the end of the class people.

Had to withdraw from this class given that I was taking 3 other classes. He expects you to revolve your world around this class and that is just not possible. Not with kids, a job and 3 other classes that is. It was extremly hard for me and withdrawing was my only option. Take him if you are a science freak, but if not, then def take someone else!

Super hard, and does not teach by chapter or by the book the only thing you will use your book for is the online quizzes which are super hard as well. Tests are also hard especially if you don't quite understand the material. Does not answer questions clearly and has a little bit of an attitude if you ask him a question on something he gets snappy.

Good teacher. Students that disagree were looking for easy grades. Class is challenging in a manner that teaches you to think outside the box, like a true scientist should! Not too hard to get a good grade and learn A LOT! Just give the man what he wants and expects. Serious science majors can benefit greatly from this class
