Phil 020
This is class is pretty boring to say the least. Professor Lewis is drags on a bit and goes into the extended philosophical metaphors. Your garde is completely dependent on your TA, except for the final.
Intro Phil
Recommend taking Lewis for the philosophy requirement. Don't really need to attend lectures. Work load is light. Weekly short assignments that aren't time consuming at all, one 1200 word paper, and a multiple choice final that is straight off the lecture notes he posts online. Easy A/A- with little effort.

Lecture style class was very straightforward with information. He makes it clear. The short assignments were not very time consuming and discussions were really interesting and fun (although it depends on who the TA is). My major problem was the final was a multiple choice test and all previous assignments were short writings and paper.
PHIL020
Lewis is really boring and doesn't clarify. Final was a multiple choice straight from the notes, but midterm was paper graded by TA. Completely subjective. Don't have to show up to class but your TA controls 2/3 of your grade so although recitation isn't helpful in understanding, it helps your grade. Weekly questions don't take much effort.

He's nice but real boring. He takes a really long time to go through a small amount of material and the 100+ student lecture style minimizes student involvement. Mandatory discussion sections are kind of interesting but I couldn't handle it at 9 am. On the bright side, the short assignments and final are curved so it isn't the hardest class.
PHIL020
He's a very sweet man, but so boring. It's a pretty easy class and the lectures are straightforward. Shouldn't give you a problem, but not the best if you're very interested in philosophy.
PHIL001
He's a very nice guy, his lectures are just unavoidably dry. Philosophy isn't a very exciting topic, but he tries his best.
PHIL155
If you like philosophy, this is an interesting class, and he's a really good professor for you. He's very helpful in office hours, generally a pretty clear lecturer, and a really nice guy. There's not a ridiculous amount of reading. He'll make you think, and you'll have to work pretty hard on the papers and short assignments.
PHIL111
Really boring class, and just like all philosophy, devoid of practicality and purpose. 4 short papers plus two longer ones. Don't take this class.
