If I would recommend someone to tech you physics, he would be my best choice. Easy,clear,helpful,and there is more. I'm one of the guys who took it at UP and failed there, however, I got an A when I took it with him. Don't take it with someone else. I started to love physics and I'm thinking of changing my major to physics because of him.

good teacher, quizzes and h.w. every week but the homework isn't too hard and the quizzes are taken straight from the homework. Drops the lowest 2 quiz scores and h.w. scores. If you attend class and do the h.w. this class will not be difficult. Also curves the class average at the end of the year

His quizzes and homework assignments are easy, but his tests are tough. Overall a good teacher who will help you if you need it.

Great teacher and is always willing to help. Curves test if needed. Test can be a little rough but he is willing to help in office hours and you are fine if you do the homework. Makes class interesting with demonstrations. Way better than Resnick...

Two words. EPIC WIN!!! He is by far the best prof not only in the physics department but in the entire campus. I actually came away from this class knowing a lot about physics because he was such an awesome instructor. The lectures were interesting and the demos he did made it that much more understandable. I just wish he still taught PHYS 212...

Dr. Zimmerman was the best professor I've ever had at PSU. I go to University Park and took this class in the summer...he was better than and professor at the main campus. Very helpful, grades easily, tests are just like quizzes and homework. Labs are a piece of cake if you put time into them. Great prof. I would reccomend him to anyone & everyone.

This class is not too bad other than exams which is different concepts from homeworks. Quizzes are from Homework problems or straight from txtbook. My tip is when u prepare for exams, looking for concepts of each problems without solving for final answers.

Great teacher. Tests are way harder than the actual classwork and homework. But he's always willing to help you out no matter what. I think he's one of the smartest professors at PSU Altoona

He's one of the best professors ever, not just in his field, but in general. He's a professor who makes everything seem easy, which is the exact opposite of what some of the physics concepts are: perplexing.

Class is not easy material but he explains clearly and to the point. Summer class was intense but if you had time for the HW and Office hours it was the best you could hope for. Great prof

This class is pretty hard. You go to lectures and think you understand but then you get your tests and are like wooooowww im horrible at this. He is a decent teacher, but his tests are nothing like you've ever practiced before so its not really fair. Nice guy tho...

He's the best teacher I could have for this class. He makes the derivations easy to understand and that's what counts. He knows what he's talking about but doesn't want you to be intimidated by him. He likes his students to be on a comfortable level with him. He's still a kid at heart. :-D

He's a good teacher, who wants students to learn the material, utilize the office hours and get to know him. If you dont grasp everything at first, and you do bad on the test and quizzes. Don't panic, it will get easier after a while. It will eventually tie together and start to make sense.

EXCELLENT TEACHER! He is kinda tough but will help you in any way he can. GO TO HIS OFFICE HOURS AND YOU WILL DO FINE. also do the HOMEWORK! It's not a hard class unless you make it. He's really nice and brilliant. His office hours have saved me time and time again so use them wisely! Great Prof

The guy knows his stuff and really likes teaching. But, sometimes just puts u to sleep. But overall, good prof.

One of the best professors i've came across at PSU. Cares about students and teaching. Very helpful if you're having problems. He even cares to know how your doing after you've complete his course so stop in and say Hi.

I had this guy for both physics 213 and 214. He's awesome AND he's willing to compromise when I student is having a serious conflict. All around nice guy. And I think he's cute.
