LOC001
There are a lot of readings and it is difficult to know which you will need to know for an exam. Doesn't respond to emails. Kind of rude (passive agressive) when you go to get help.
LOC555
Doesn't care about helping students at all...always seems annoyed to be talking to you...content has potential to be interesting but class is boring.

She was a great, young, and intelligent professor who knew/knows the material inside and out. She was always there when you needed her, and was enthralled by students going above and beyond the class expectations. I highly recommend Prof. Zaloom
Sca1
Wonderful professor, class topics are relevant and novel. Not afraid to design a challenging course.
Soc101
Great teacher, one of her students is obviously mentally unstable, and she handles the craziness very well.
SCASCA
Fantastic professor, fair, respects other's opinions, I had a great experience in her class.

My favorite professor at NYU. Always wearing a smile, always available during office hours and by email, and as the project she assigned on the ethnography of Occupy Wall Street proved, extremely in tune with current events that tie into material on the syllabus (and wanted us to be, too)! Highly recommend.

Professor Zaloom is one of the best teachers that I've had at NYU. Her class was so interesting and she was really helpful. I like how she connects course themes to current events.

I've taken Professor Zaloom for three consecutive semesters. She is clear in her lecture materials, and if you come to class having ACTUALLY done the readings, then you will receive thoughtful and stimulating conversation. She has always been able to provide me with a new route of thinking when stuck on my assignments.

I've taken two of Prof. Zaloom's classes and she one of the best professors I've had. Articulate and clear in lectures. The work is tough but not overwhelming. I needed an extension and she was very helpful and accommodating. If you want a professor with high standards who will push you to do your best, take a class with her!
Lands111
Gives a lot of readind but only focuses on some texts in class. Only 1 midterm and final exam and final research paper. Not a fair grader at all.
lndsccons
Interesting class with interesting information but she is unfair at grading. I mean come on it's an elective class not an intro course.
MET120
She's very intelligent and a perfectionist with high standards. She's liberal, young, and fresh with a sense of old school academia. However, like other professors at NYU, which is a very large, busy, fast-paced place to study, does not dedicate herself to serving students' needs. That is a reflection of the school's atmosphere.

she's really young so at first she appears to be cool. but SHE IS NOT! if you aren't a met studies major beware, she has no patience for you. and she assigns a lot of reading. also i think she is an unfair grader. she covers interesting material but by the end of the course its the same thing over and over again.
