I took Ginny's courses Photo 1-4 so I'll give you an accurate and honest opinion. Photo 1 was one of my favorite classes, got a 3.7. Every semester, I gradually lost more interest. If you love photo-take the classes. If you expect a good professor-you'll be disappointed. She's a terrible, lazy professor and only shows up to maybe 1/4 of the classes

She was fine for photo 1, but now I'm in photo 3 and I cant stand her. She doesn't get around to helping everyone and doesn't expect you to make art, she just wanted you to make something "cool looking".

Great art teacher gives nice broad assignments to let you have your own style show through your work.. defiantly recommended

Ginny is very helpful and is always willing to give you input if you show you are working. Take lots of photos, take risks and work hard--you'll benefit. She's gives fair grades and has a great personality. However, photography is an expensive class. Photo 2 was cheaper than photo 1 because you can use old negatives.

Ginny is a wonderful professor and really knows her material. Her class is very technical and you'll learn all about the chemicals and their functions, your camera and its functions, darkroom, studio, etc. Make time to work 1 on 1. She'll help w/ anything.

She was clear, enthusiastic, inspiring, and fair. I really loved this class and wished I could have taken more from Ginny--She rocks! She shifted my view of photography from mere picture-taking to creating fine art. And, by the way, her website, GinnyLayne.Com, is also awesome.
