He means well but is simply unenlightening, monotone, and uninteresting. Stay away from this professor if you want to enjoy college and not be bogged down by boredom and academic pointlessness.

Aztec and Maya Class is so hard. after doing all of the readings and taking extensive notes I still bombed the tests. when i asked him what to change he told me to spend around 2 hours on each article he assigns on average. not cool. dont take this class.

Chamberlin is really nice, but his dialogue will put you to sleep every time. There is a good amount of reading in this class too (weekly article notes due). His tests come from the lecture, but you have to take good notes to do well on them. If I could go back and switch, I probably would. Having it at 930 AM doesn't help either.

nice guy but SO BORING! necessary to go to class to get notes, if not you're screwed for tests. no textbook, just have to read articles that really don't help that much. I would recommend you find a different professor.

This class was so boring! I had this class at 8 in the morning and it was painful to try to stay awake through his class. Even though this class was very boring, I got an A because I went everyday and took really well written notes. Overall its an easy C but you have to work hard to get an A.

pretty dry and repeats large chunks of previous material at beginning of class, which is good for when you miss. really easy tests - if you get the notes.

very easy and interesting class. 2 article responses, 3 exams (not cumulative, multiple choice, short answer, and matching), some class participation (if you want to). I would definitely recommend this class.

No attendance policy, but very beneficial to go to class. The class was a little harder than I thought it would be, but if you go to class and study for exams it's not that bad. Several easy article responses (to make sure you're reading), 3 exams (not cumulative), 1 film worksheet (shows a lot of films) makes up your grade.

good guy. very helpful and clear. lectures can get a little boring at times but if you go to class and take notes you'll def. get a good grade. class is generally interesting. he really knows his stuff and the films are really interesting as well. i definitely recommend him.

Not a bad teacher, but the subject is not that exciting... unless you like archeology.

Pretty good teacher overall. He really loves what he teaches, so you can ask him any question and he'll help you out. No attendance policy, but a lot of the exams are from in class movies that aren't too boring. Tests from the notes, never buy the book. I'm taking two classes with him next semester, so I'd recommend him.

boring, not the best of professors but he knows his stuff. you have to go to class to get the notes, tests are harder than they should be. should be an interesting/easy class but it falls short.

Prof C is a good teacher he is subtle in his speech but he knows his stuff. If you care about the subject at all you will do well in his classes. He has a dry sense of humor and you can tell he really cares about what he is doing. His tests are straight forward if you show up and take notes you will be fine. st.guides, no papers & some reading.

This professor was horrendous!! Incredibly boring that it hurt, and tests were difficult because we never could grasp what he wanted. This is the ONLY CLASS I ever, in college and high school, that I needed to draw in my notebook margins just to stay awake. And even then, I'd STILL fall asleep. AVOID.
