This teacher did not help me much. Class was suposed to be about color but was all about painting. If you want to be in printmaking and go to Italy with her she will grade you easy. Had to take this and so glad I'm done!

Xenia was the best professor I ever had. I spent seven years in undergrad and Ive had many, many professors. College is work, and that is what she expects from you. If you are willing to put in the time and work you will do well. She is friendly and willing to help you grow as an artist in any way she can. I hold much respect for this amazing woman

She believes that her class is the only class you're taking and wants you to "eat, sleep and breath" her assignments/midterms/finals. Contradicts herself with teaching and her methods don't make sense. she also DRAWS ON YOUR WORK instead of telling you how to fix it she does it herself. HATED this class.

An excellent teacher, had life drawing. Gave lots of printouts to keep for years. I learned so much from her, shaping my work more than any other prof. I am open to learning - classmates I observed having trouble were stuck on their own ego, and unwilling to accept the work it takes to become proficient. Those types are in every class, though.

She has great personality and good teacher. Leaves you lost sometimes not being clear enough, but eventually you figure it out if you pay attention. Very good with teaching you your colors and would recommend if you are serious. Not an easy class.

She gets condescending, makes dissaproving sighs at student's work, completely contradicts herself when giving instruction and expects everyone to draw like Leondardo da Vinci. She also assigns TONS of work. I absolutely hate Life Drawing with her. It is not a positive learning environment around her. Makes me want to bash my head against the wall.

Xenia is young but has a gift for teaching. She will get on your ass about things but only to make you better. Best teacher I have ever had. If you are lazy she will recognize it but not penalize you, she is just here to make students better artists. If you care about what you are doing and you try hard, she will amaze you with what you learn

I took her for color theory and we oil painted the entire time, beside one collage. But she knows what she is talking about. Assigns numerous assignments. Good painting skills is very helpful. Do well and you'll recieve an A...maybe a B.
