PHIL 101 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: Not Mandatory Textbook Use: You need it sometimes Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: B+

I absolutely loved Professor Domski. Her class at the beginning seemed very hard. I had taken Philosophy in high school but it was nothing like her class. She makes everything so clear. Her voice is such a nice voice to listen to give lectures as well. Its not like most annoying professors. Take her class. You don't regret it.

Phil 101.011 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: Low Grade Received: N/A

I had previously attempted to take Philosophy with another professor, but I just couldn't get through it. I tried again with Domski and I must say she made the subject enjoyable. There are just a few writing assignments and she does a review for the midterm and final that covers everything that is actually on the test. Great professor!

PHIL 101 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: You need it sometimes Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

Prof. Domski is very clear and, although there are a lot of students in the class, she is very helpful. She doesn't take attendance or anything, but she explains everything in class, so it's way better than actually doing all the reading. She's also very understanding and helpful if you go to her office hours.

Phil 202 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: It's a must have Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

Brilliant Professor with a gift for clarity. She is a very strict grader. but will make sure you understand where you messed up. Watch out for trick questions on her tests because she WILL use them. Overall, I'm very glad I had a class with her.

PHIL202 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Essential to passing Rater Interest: It's my life Grade Received: N/A

This section is a four-week summer course that meets during naptime-from 3-5:30 every day. Domski is such a good teacher that it's a pleasure to show up every day. She's approachable, funny, and brilliant--a normal human being with an incredible mind and an obvious investment in her students. I'm going to be sad when it's over!

PHIL 101 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: Barely cracked it open Rater Interest: Sorta interested Grade Received: N/A

Domski is very knowledgable about her subject. She's a very hard grader, barely any homework but a few papers that will be entirely red with comments once you get it back. If you're passionate about philosophy, take the class, definitely not an easy a.

Prof. Domski was fan-freakin-tastic! She made Philosophy understandable and helped me see the logic in many theories that seemed like gibberish on paper. She went above and beyond to help me time and again in this class. I'd recommend her to anyone, anytime.

She really knows her stuff! Don't believe the comments that say otherwise, she is world-renowned (seriously, just google her) and all the other philosophy professors admire her. She is nice, funny and takes the time to answer questions in class. Highly recommend.

Philosophy professors can be weird, but Mary Domski is one of the most intelligent and down to earth people I have ever met. Going to her office hours is relaxed and rewarding. She inspired me to love philosophy, and taught about things I never would have learned otherwise. I am grateful for her.

Not sure what these fools are talking about when they say she doesn't know Philosophy. This chick knows her stuff. I didn't hear ONE question thrown at her this semester that she was unable to answer clearly and back up. Go to class, study, ask questions ON HER TIME (office hours, email, etc) and you will pass with flying colors.

phil202 Taken for Credit:N/A Attendance: N/A Textbook Use: What textbook? Rater Interest: Really into it Grade Received: N/A

This professor has little knowledge of philosophy; however, she knows enough survey information to make it appear so. Furthermore, even if you memorize the material word for word, you can still fail the class because her notes (not the thoughts of the author) are what you're tested on. Her T.A. that grades isn't well read as well. Learned nothing.

She's brilliant. She knows her subject, as well as most all of Philosophy, absolutely FLAWLESSLY. She answers each and every question, and creates a very positive environment for discussion. Papers are difficult, but quizzes are SO simple. Attend class for the discussions and notes- you'll ace the tests and love the banter. Highly recommended!

She is FANTASTIC! She can answer literally any question you ask her, and will do her best to help you understand everything, even the wacky stuff. She's funny and very easy going, doesn't take attendance, but her notes are definitely worth going to class for! the bi-weekly quizzes are easy too!

Excellent instructor. Knows her stuff. Take notes in class and you can ace the exams. Papers aren't too bad either. Quizzes and midterms not based so much on the assigned readings, but on lecture. Go to class, take notes, and ace this class! PLUS Domski is an EXCELLENT lecturer. Ask Q's and you'll get amazing answers.

If it was only a matter of which professor is the best one, I would take everyone of her classes! Unfortunately she doesn't belong to my department. What a natural born teacher. She is AWESOME!! The class is a challenging one, but if you feel like taking it, do it with DOMSKI!!

Her teaching style is so easy to follow and learn from. At the beginning of every class, she spends time going over what was discussed last class. Biweekly quizzes go over only the material covered in class, which is outlined for on WEBCT. Knows modern philosophy inside and out, and is confident in her knowledge. Highly recommend!

This class is pretty boring but if you go and copy the notes you will have no trouble doing the weekly homework and writing the papers. You can get an A without ever reading the book but I do suggest doing the readings that are required for the papers. She does try to make the topic interesting, its just not for everyone
