He is kind of mean. He doesnt really care about his students. Half way through the course I realized what a terrible mistake I had made signing up for it. What can I do? I am stuck now.

This class was so much fun because of Dr. Aaij's sense of humor. He made even the less-than-fun books interesting. Great teacher.

Sill one of my fav professors and I'm not even an ENGL major. Be prepared for a challenge; be ready to actually work. Appreciates student engagement. Helpful hint; don't let your feelings get hurt easily. ;)

Wonderful, wonderful, instructor! Enjoyed every minute! The only reason students dislike Dr. Aaij is because they lack the ability to read, comprehend, and perform up to standard: in other words, they are quite lazy. Love ya, Dr. Aaij--one in a million.

Great professor, a lot of work, but his class is really fun and flies by. You'll laugh and learn a lot!

If you want to learn something about the subject matter, he is an excellent Professor. Holds your feet to the fire and makes you earn your grade, but is fair in his final evaluation.

I am an English major and this man was the worst lit prof I have ever had. No matter how hard you work you will likely receive a letter grade lower than what you expect! I have not found anyone who would take this man again by choice.

Good teacher. Knows his subject. Makes boring literature somewhat interesting. Has a little bit of a dirty mind and is not ashamed of it during the Canterbury Tales. Made a B in his class, but I worked my butt off for it. He's also available outside of class to help.

His class is challenging, but worth it. He is the direct sort, but he makes it easy to relate the material. He does give out daily quizzes, but if you read you have no problem answering them. In the end I enjoyed his class.

Had to actually pay attention i have always been really good in english and never really had to try to hard to get an A....well i had to work my but off in this class but the crazy thing is i did not mind doing it!

Dr. Aaij is a great teacher. He is not easy, but I've taken him twice because you will learn to be a great writter in there.

Extremely abrasive, abrupt, has no problem embarrassing you and peers. Difficult to read, and not willing to help when struggling. Be prepared to spend more time than expected, must be very familiar with material before you take class.

Dr. Aaij is a bit of a jerk in that he will criticize anyone about anything. He expects things to be done his way & he will call you out if you are wrong. That said, he is helpful if you ask. He definitely plays favorites & will up your grade a little if you have shown effort throughout the semester. I didn't enjoy the class but I learned a lot.

Professor Aaij is very opinionated and isn't afraid to call you out on ANYTHING!! He is confusing as far as what he wants you to do. He knows his literature and makes it interesting.
