You spoke, and we listened: the RateMyProfessors 2016-2017 annual Top Lists are here! Using ratings submitted by you, the students, we’ve ranked the top professors and schools in the country.
Leading the nation’s list of universities are University of Wisconsin-Madison and University of Georgia, while Santa Barbara City College and Foothill College clinched the top spots on our list of highest ranked junior and community colleges.
University of Alabama’s Douglas Klutz, a Criminal Justice professor, was rated the top university professor in the country — students rave “Best class I have taken at UA. Must take if you are wanting to go to law school to learn about legal stuff.” Another student says “Amazing class and Mr. Klutz is such a nice teacher. Very approachable if you have any questions.”
Ani Abcarians, a Speech professor from Glendale Community College #1 on the top junior and community college professor list. She earned high praise from students, with one user gushing: “The kindest and sweetest professor I’ve ever met! She is truly the best professor and teacher ever.”
Finance professor Jim Brau at Brigham Young University secured the top spot on the annual Hottest Professors list for the 2nd year in a row. Students say: “He’s genuine in his thoughts and explains concepts very clearly.”
