You spoke, and we listened: the RateMyProfessors 2015-2016 annual Top Lists are here! Using ratings submitted by you, the students, we’ve ranked the top professors and schools in the country.
Leading the nation’s list of universities are University of Wisconsin-Madison and Washington University in St. Louis, while Mountain View College and Johnson County Community College clinched the top spots on our list of highest ranked junior and community colleges.
College of Charleston’s Devon Hanahan, a Spanish professor, was rated the top university professor in the country — students rave “One of the best teachers I’ve ever had. She’s clear, very thorough, and extremely helpful. She is very passionate about her work and loves her students.” Another student says “She loves the school, the subject, and her students and it really shows.”
Anthony Calise, a Mathematics professor from Community College of Baltimore County-Essex is #1 on the top junior and community college professor list. He earned high praise from students, with one user gushing: “Mr. Anthony was AMAZING, he was very approachable and easy to talk to. He made everything seem relevant and broke things down to the most basic form.”
Finance professor Jim Brau at Brigham Young University secured the top spot on the annual Hottest Professors list. Students say: “Best teacher I’ve ever had. Honestly learned so much about finance and about life. He is so funny as well!”
