The rating's comment: I pretty much taught myself using the book. Professor Abbott is really passionate about the material and is willing to answer your questions. It seems like he wants his students to truly learn the material. Definitely do the reading before class and use the lectures to reinforce what you've read. Be prepared to actually work in this class.
