Appalling at essentially everything. Awful communicator, and rarely seems interested in wanting to engage with anything apart from whatever book he had brought with him. Spends a lot of time advocating his own books as the source of all that's needed, as if we're supposed to just buy them and not bother to show up. Very, very poor teaching attitude

It is a shame that such an interesting subject should be taught by a professor with such a poor attitude. Very weak teaching quality.

Prof Thomas teaches a course titled History of Christian-Muslim Relations which is probably the worst course I have studied. The assessment is 4000 words but I felt unprepared because the professor is unhelpful & provides no clarity or information on what is needed. The course content doesn't fit the syllabus making everything even harder. Terrible

Studying Islamic theology.I rated this guy "useless" under the category helpfulness & "incomprehensible" under the category clarity because he is an awful communicator. I don't think anyone knows what he's talking about.Very boring & either doesn't prepare or is totally uninterested in the things he is supposed to be teaching. Poor efforts sadly.

His feedback on assessed work is very poor with little or no attempt for constructive comment. Does not prepare much material for teaching sessions and seems to have much difficulty in communicating with clarity or precision. Overall, very, very hard for students to learn who rely instead on reading textbooks from the library. Not very impressed!
