Pushes her political agenda, and very intolerant of disagreement. She thinks she is smarter than everyone else, and comes across as overbearing. Not a good teacher, I cannot honestly recommend her classes.

DO NOT TAKE EVER! No study guides given before tests, just wants you to know EVERYTHING (ex: little details from charts and graphs). Test questions are over little petty information. You must be a machine and able to retain everything she says in order to do ok. Multiple choice questions suck; all answers seem correct. You'll do better w/o studying

Like others have said here, She uses the university format as a podium for her socialist views. She is in fact very arrogant and self centered. The book she wrote is very biased and leaves a lot of facts out, how convenient. She is the prototype professor that is ruining the university system in America. Stay away.

Doc. P is a great teacher, she expects a lot out of her students. I feel that she did a great job although I did not like the set up of her class. a 20 minute presentation, and the exam basically on everyone's exam, she hardly taught, but its best to learn from peers than i suppose. I respect her as a teacher and would def take her again

Dr Pulsipher uses a lot of 3-point-words, but she doesn't exemplify a grasp for the nuances of many of them. She is very much a feminist. She is arrogant and self-centered. I think that the only reason that she teaches at all is to get more funding for more research. In any case, you as a student will be treated as a speedbump in her road to fame.

This was the hardest level 100 level I ever had. She wrote the text book and believes she is the smartest person ever, and said she was an admitted "socialist" don't take her ever!

VERY TOUGH! Made an A but have never worked so hard for one. A lot of reading, hard online quizzes, and very hard exams. Wrote the textbook - what do u expect? Also pretty arrogant.

Dr. Pulsipher is obviously a very intelligent woman, however she is very arrogant and self-centered when she teaches her class. She ALWAYS manages to insert her own political opinion into class discussion, and encourages her students to believe likewise. She wrote the textbook, so no other opinions are expressed. Expect nothing but pain from Geo101

If you take this class you must realize that it is going to be all about HER. Beware of quizes that pop up online unannounced. Tests and quizes are not returned to students so we never know what she wants. Usually takes a anit-American stance on internationl issues. She wrote the book and makes it obvious that her way is the only right way.

Her Middle America class was amazing- great overview of the region and interesting details about the Caribbean, her specialty. She expects high quality work but was more than willing to take the time to help interested students achieve that goal. My most enjoyable class at UT.

She tells everyone to participate in class, but the second you raise your hand and say somthing, she criticizes it in front of the whole class. Very self-centered, and the class is too hard for a 100 level course.

She wrote the book herself and won't mind telling you so! She loves to talk about HER trips and HER research! Hope you enjoy learning about HER! I don't recommend this professor....good class and good material. Just opt for a different teacher.

Completely self-centered and very liberal. Class is intollerable for anyone who is smart enough to pick up on the self-promoting garbage she packs in every lecture.

I think Dr. Pulsipher would be alright if she stuck to teaching smaller calsses, but it totally out of her realm in an auditorium size class, I got better answers from the T.A. than from her.
