As a current sophomore at USC, I cannot describe how amazing USC is! Situated just minutes from Downtown Los Angeles, USC has so many opportunities to get involved with the community both through the school and not. The addition of USC Village has provided so many more convinces so close to campus, unless you live in Village, like I do. Fight On!

I love it here! The campus is beautiful, my professors have all been very passionate, and there are so many opportunities and things to do. The surrounding area is definitely something to get acclimated to, but is not as bad as it seems, just make sure you're paying attention to your surroundings.

I hated USC at first cus it was hard to make friends, but after another year here, joining a club, going to a retreat, going to events, doing AB spring break, USC ExCEL, and going out when someone asked, I made A LOT more friends. Just remember to give it time and NEVER think there's anything wrong with you. There's a TON of opportunities here.

USC has a lot of resources for all students and the campus is great. If you do not find a clique or group of people be lonely and isolated. I had 3 friends the entire time there and felt isolated and depressed the whole time. Be extroverted or don't care too much. Also, very liberal/progressive overall.

USC is the quintessential west coast school. The environment is relaxed, students are consistently in good spirits and the staff is both qualified and passionate to inspire. Tuition is expensive and students are challenged - classes are tough. Despite popular opinion, the surrounding area is very safe and socially anyone can find a place here.

We are exceptionally well-represented in the media and entertainment industry (SCA, Annenberg), Silicon Valley (Viterbi), and the Cali corporate world (Marshall). Many unique programs are only offered here (CSBA, Iovine and Young Academy, Business of Cinematic Arts, etc.). Students are dynamic, and the overall environment is VERY nurturing.

USC is a phenomenal school all around. The two major detractions are: location and cost. We are inhibited by our surrounding neighborhood and the cost of any school should not be anywhere near where USC is right now. However, there is a fantastic network, outstanding opportunities and a community that promotes a fruitful social/student life.

USC is a fabulous school for risk takers and go-getters. The curriculum here is harder than Stanford and Ivies, so even though it's a little easier to get into (for now), students come out incredibly prepared for the real world. Incredible industry connections. Great professors. LA is the center of the world.

I like USC. It's definitely not without its issues, esp. with tuition fees. Financial aid covers all of my tuition but it's less kind to other students. So far it's been a good experience. USC campus and immediate surrounding areas are very safe.

Nestled in South Central, USC can be at times suffocating. Many guest speakers, pre-professional seminars, and great departments give this university its prestige, but a number of severe institutional issues prevent it from being a top, elite school. Clubs are one of the 3 S's STEM, Social, or Service-related, and campus lacks a political voice
