Loyd does his job, and very well I might add. I'm amused by how many people are in college that really ought not be. This isn't high school, it's not the prof's job to hold your hand, it's your education. How is this difficult to understand? Seriously? If you are a serious student, you'll do well in Loyd's class. Don't worry.

Great class,but hard . He goes out of his way to make you learn astromony.Take his lab too.

This class is hard, but the professor is as direct with the information and explains it in as clear cut a manner as can be asked. You really do EARN your A in this course. Not for the faint of heart because the material goes by fast, but focus and you'll do just dandy =D

Lloyd is a sarcastic and funny guy, doesn't seem to be out to hurt his students with humor, i just think most people don't get it. He doens't hold your hand with the material, but he gives you everything you will need, and even tells you to use study groups and to consult him outside of class (he is more than willing).

Lloyd can be a sarcastic, egotistical jerk. He knows about Astronomy, but doesnt make it easy to learn. He is unclear and often goes off on tangents about random things that are never on the test. He seems to take pleasure in degrading his students, especially if they are female. Too bad he's the only one who offers the class. good luck.

He knows a great deal about Astronomy. I learned a great deal, but his teaching ethics are a little off. He is very sarcastic, sometimes teaching the way he does to prove something. The subject isn't easy, so he makes it easier with notes on the test and dropping the worst one. If you STUDY, you'll do good. If you like Astronomy, good class.

Has to be the best prof. I have had... especially at this school. He made me figure out the answers instead of just giving them to me. He made me accept help even though I didnt want any. He was willing to devote numerous extra hours on and off campus if anyone needed help. He was more than...fair. Thank you for the class!

This guy doesn't take any crap. I used to think he was hard and awful, but not anymore. There are people in the class who are whiny and want special treatment and he doesn't give it to them, because you actually do have to attend every class to understand. As far as helpfulness, he makes you figure everything out on your own using sarcasm

Good teacher. True about what others said about his sarcasm, he's very funny though. Also gives a TON of interesting side information. If you have any interest in Astronomy, you will be intrigued the whole time. As far as grades he's pretty easy because of a curve system he uses. The tests are fairly difficult but overall you should do fine.

HE IS VERY SARCASTIC, AND SPEAKS TO YOU LIKE A DUMB LITTLE KID. HE TEACHES THE SUBJECT LIKE HE'S TRYING TO IMPRESS YOU WITH HIS KNOWLEDGE, NOT EDUCATE YOU ON HOW THE UNIVERSE WORKS.

Easy quizzes, but tough tests. Not an easy teacher, but fair. Assumes some egocentric roles that some can't seem to separate from his own personality. Uses sarcasm to make many points.

Good Teacher, Full of information, Very fair and clear cut on course requirements. The star parties are fun.

Worst teacher ever I have ever taken a class with. Astronomy is supposed to be interesting but he makes it boring. He is always making this referance to how "evil" he is which is very annoying. He is not very helpful and if you're not understanding the class then he pretty much refuses to help you. He needs to get fired. Don't take it with him!

This was the worst teacher I've ever encountered. Ever. These SHOULD have been very informative, interesting classes. Instead, we got to witness temper tantrums and be informed that we're stupid. LAME. Take these classes with ANYBODY else. Terrible.

Good teacher, he is hard at times but he has alot to offer. He is strict and very fair.

He is a nice guy but he is not very helpful at all. It's always his way or no way. He doesn't take special accomidations into account and his labs are too difficult and confusing. He has no patience. Everybody always leaves his class frustrated and angry. Plus, he looks liek George Bush.

Do not torture yourself by taking this egomaniac, the cost of your therapy won't be worth it.
