We never learned anything. Honestly, I taught myself everything this whole semester. Everything that was on the homework modules had nothing to do with class. She often side-tracked lectures to talk about physics or something random on which she had an opinion. My classmates all felt like we couldn't ask questions in her classroom environment.

Goes off topic a lot. Puts down students when asking basic questions. Not very organized with notes and homework.

This is for math 0461 but there wasn't an option. I don't recommend this class unless you like lectures and mainly learning yourself...I dropped it after realizing I was barely learning any math in class and basically doing it all online. I don't know what they did further in the semester, but that's what I got from the first couple weeks.

Don't take any class with this prof. if you can help it. She will review physics, astronomy, computer coding, and politics more than the actual class and subject at hand. I'm not exaggerating. She will also put you down if you have a question, and expect a you to understand everything before she even goes over it. She doesnt TEACH, she TELLS

She is very passionate about math and physics. Her grading is tough because math is either right or wrong. She challenges her students to think critically and creatively. She covers a lot of material in her lectures and gives interesting examples. She is available to help by email, and after class. I learned a lot from her class and enjoyed it.

Whatever you do, do not take this professor. Her lectures were all over the place and you basically had to teach yourself. What we did in class did not correlate with the homework assigned and she is just inappropriate. Talked about physics for whatever reason. Says feel free to ask questions, but god forbid you do. Makes you feel dumb.

Avoid! Never responded to emails at least not clearly. spent most of the class talking about unrelated things. Also a little disrespectful towards students and their time and individual needs.

What a mistake it was taking her class, I am still regretting taking this class even after I saw how bad her review was. I took this class because it fit my work schedule, which was a huge mistake on my part. One of the worst teacher I have ever taken and advice everyone to stay away from her

Will never take this again. If I want to get all the mental health problem I will definitely take her course

PLZ STAY AWAY FROM THIS CLASS AT ALL COST MIGHT JUST THROW AWAY MONEY AND TIME DISRESPECTFUL POLITICAL RUDE

I was in the respiratory care program at COD a couple years back and had Farmer for Math 1102 math for health science. It was an 8 week intensive. Some thought she was a little extra, like one girl who came in 4 weeks on and wanted straight A's for the work she missed. Then COVID 19 happened. Now I see how she prepared me for real life.

Math 0482 with prof Farmer was hard but then I never did better than a C in math in high school. I am an older learner and the flexible online homework, which let me try multiple times, worked around my schedule. After her class the next math class I did better because of what I learned. Don't avoid challenging classes they cause real growth.

Had her for this class in March. She was totally prepared to teach online.

Worst math teacher I have ever experience ever. She literally said verbatim in her class that it "Isn't her job to teach us the concepts and if you want to learn concepts to get a tutor." She won't answer any of your questions if you haven't done the homework the she doesn't make due. In class questions get her to make dumb analogies to get get gud

The worst professor I have ever taken. I literally had to go home and teach myself. I'd rather kiss my dad then even have the thought of taking her class again. Absolutely awful. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Hardest and worst professor Ive ever had. Wont listen to students, says you have to surrender to her and admit you know nothing. Wont answer students questions. Will give 0 homework and wont allow you to take notes at all and when you dont do good on the quiz she wonders why.

She is a nightmare of a professor. Uses Calc to explain her work even if she knows that people don't know what shes talking about. She is a slow and impossible grader and would get distracted very easily. Avoid at all costs!

Farmer teaches this class from the old book the school assigns but gives computer based test in blackboard. That caused an issue for a few people. Other than that she clearly cares about giving people fair well earned grades. Like, 50% of the grade was the final and half of that was a project we got to choose.

Prof Farmer is a tough grader, but then this is a math class and answers are either correct or they are not.
